These Terms of Use govern access to and use of RISEN, including its websites, applications, community features, and related services.
By creating an account or using RISEN, you agree to these Terms. Do not use RISEN if you do not agree with them.
1. About RISEN
RISEN is a platform for documenting, nurturing, preserving, and optionally sharing meaningful journeys called Rises.
Features may include Riser profiles, Rises, Memories, Moments, Milestones, reflections, public journeys, comments, and Rise-support interactions.
2. Account eligibility
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. Where applicable, a parent or legal guardian must authorize use by a minor.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create on RISEN.
By posting content, you grant RISEN a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and deliver that content as part of the service.
You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate the rights of others or applicable law.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, or deceptive.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to RISEN systems or other accounts.
- Use RISEN for spam, phishing, or any automated scraping.
5. Privacy
Your use of RISEN is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
6. Intellectual property
RISEN and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by RISEN and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of RISEN without prior written permission.
7. Termination
RISEN may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

8. Disclaimer of warranties
RISEN is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RISEN shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
10. Changes to these Terms
RISEN may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
